The Scapegrace Blood Orange is a flavoured gin that reinterprets the classic profile of the New Zealand distillery through a citrus-focused expression centred on blood orange. Produced according to Scapegrace’s artisanal approach, it uses an alcohol base derived from pure grain and a carefully selected range of fresh and dried botanicals, designed to integrate the fruity character without compromising the structure of the spirit.
Juniper remains the central element of the aromatic architecture, supported by key botanicals sourced in New Zealand such as blood oranges, raspberries and makrut lime leaves. The result is a coral-red spirit, characterised by an intense yet balanced flavour profile, citrus-led and precise, created to deliver freshness and aromatic clarity.
It is ideally suited to a citrus gin & tonic, is enjoyable neat as a refreshing drink, and serves as a versatile base for a wide range of cocktails.

Nose: The aromatic profile is fresh, with a pronounced citrus expression of blood orange peel. Vegetal and herbal notes develop, accompanied by hints of citrus leaves and forest berries, while juniper contributes a clean, well-integrated resinous component.
Palate: The entry is full, with blood orange pulp taking centre stage. The citrus notes blend harmoniously with resinous juniper and a light balsamic, minty component that adds freshness.
Finish: Dry, clean and balsamic. The citrus oils of blood orange remain evident, accompanied by light peppery notes and subtle tropical nuances.
