The Poltergeist Unfiltered represents the flagship product of the Callington Mill Distillery gin range. It is an artisanal London Dry Gin, produced in small batches and traditionally distilled in copper stills.
The twelve botanicals, selected from Tasmania—including lemon myrtle, macadamia nuts and Tasmanian wild pepper (Tasmannia lanceolata)—and from various parts of the world, are macerated directly in the still for over twenty hours. This is followed by a long distillation phase, lasting between twelve and fourteen hours, designed to ensure maximum aromatic extraction and integration. The distillate runs from the still at around 78% vol., is not chill filtered and is finally reduced to 46% vol. with pure Tasmanian mountain water.
The result is a gin of great aromatic intensity, with a robust yet well-balanced structure, ideal to enjoy with a neutral tonic, in classic cocktails such as a Martini or Negroni, or simply neat, to fully appreciate its complexity and character.

Colour: Clear, crystalline.
Nose: A complex and layered bouquet, characterised by assertive notes of pepper berries and floral nuances, enriched by lively citrus hints and supported by a slightly resinous character of juniper and spices.
Palate: On the palate, warming spicy sensations emerge, followed by a herbaceous and refreshing profile, with a balance between citrus notes and spices. Juniper remains constantly present, acting as the guiding thread of the tasting, while the texture is full and almost creamy thanks to the unfiltered nature of the distillate.
Finish: Long and enveloping, with rose notes emerging elegantly, adding a delicate floral touch. Hints of tropical fruit persist in the background, bringing freshness and a light sweetness.
