Inspired by the historic recipes of the Victorian era, the Classic Old Tom Gin is the first expression released by The House of Botanicals, the Scottish brand founded by the renowned “bitters wizard,” Dr. Adam Elmegirab.
Production begins in London with the distillation of an authentic London Dry Gin, made from British grain spirit and a balanced mix of classic botanicals: juniper berries, angelica and orris root, coriander seed, cassia bark, almond, and orange and lemon peel. The distillate is then transferred to Aberdeen, home of The House of Botanicals, where it is further enriched with Moroccan saffron and chamomile flowers, enhancing its floral and aromatic profile while giving it a distinctive golden hue. To complete the process, a light sweetening with muscovado sugar adds roundness, depth and complexity, in full respect of the Old Tom style.
The result is a gin with a distinctive identity, both harmonious and versatile, where tradition and innovation merge with natural elegance. Perfect for both classic mixology and sipping neat, it offers a refined balance between the roundness of sweetness and the aromatic intensity of its botanicals.

Colour: Light golden yellow.
Nose: Aromatic and enveloping. Dominated by floral and spicy notes, supported by a solid core of juniper. Subtle earthy and balsamic nuances add depth and complexity.
Palate: Consistent with the nose, the attack is marked by juniper and warm spices, followed by elegant hints of resinous pine and coriander seed. Mid-palate, softer and fresher tones emerge, shifting towards sorbet-like citrus and delicate chamomile notes, striking a perfect balance between warmth and freshness.
Finish: Long, fragrant and persistent, closing with a lingering spicy sweetness that gracefully envelops the palate and leaves a subtle yet defined impression.
