The Xoriguer Gin is much more than a simple spirit: it is the authentic symbol of Menorca, a product that embodies centuries of history, tradition, and Mediterranean spirit.
Its origins date back to the 18th century, during British rule, when the English gin culture met local resources and craftsmanship. In 1940, Miguel Pons Justo decided to recreate the ancient recipe in his distillery overlooking the port of Mahón, where the gin is still produced today using the same artisanal methods.
The alcohol base is made from grape wine, giving the distillate a smooth texture and soft mouthfeel. Matured juniper berries, mainly sourced from the Pyrenees, and well water from Mahón are distilled in four copper stills — the oldest over 250 years old — heated by direct wood fire and using the “One Shot” method, meaning a single distillation.
The result is a gin with a complex aromatic profile — rounded, expressive, and full of personality — a true reflection of the Menorcan terroir. With its Protected Geographical Indication “Gin E.T.G. Mahón-Menorca,” the only recognized “DOC” for gin, Gin Xoriguer represents a living tradition, passed down through generations, and remains today a symbol of Mediterranean quality, identity, and passion.

Color: Clear and crystalline.
Nose: Aromatic and intense, with pronounced juniper notes dominating the aromatic profile. Camphoraceous and herbal nuances evoke pine resin, while hints of wood, aromatic herbs, and citrus peel complete the bouquet. The result is a complex and refined aroma, entirely centered around juniper — the true protagonist of this distillate.
Palate: Full-bodied and enveloping, with an explosion of pine and juniper opening onto shades of sage, spruce, and lemon zest. The soft, velvety texture supports a bold character where citrus freshness intertwines with balsamic and resinous notes, creating a refined and persistent balance.
Finish: Long and clean, with a lingering balsamic recall of juniper and delicate hints of black pepper.
