In the misty heart of the Black Forest, among centuries-old trees and hidden trails, wild sloes grow — small berries with a tart, untamed character.
This is where the Monkey 47 Sloe Gin is born, a refined liqueur obtained from the maceration of wild sloes on the base of the renowned Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin, celebrated for its complex architecture of 47 botanicals, one third of which are native to the Black Forest.
Thanks to the expertise of Master Distiller Christoph Keller, the hand-picked sloes, harvested after the first winter frost, are left to infuse for four weeks, naturally releasing their aromas, anthocyanins, and tannins. The final result, bottled at 29% ABV without chill-filtration or added coloring, preserves its structure, flavor balance, and distinctive aromatic profile.

Color: Ruby red.
Nose: Aromatic and complex, opening with intense notes of ripe red berries, followed by herbal hints of pine, juniper, and a delicate touch of sweet almond and marzipan. The bouquet evolves with floral nuances of lavender and orange blossom, creating a fresh, deep, and inviting nose.
Palate: Round and velvety, dominated by raspberry, strawberry, and wild blackberry preserves, well balanced by warm spices such as cinnamon and coriander. Elegant balsamic tones of fir resin emerge, along with light earthy and tangy nuances of juniper. In the background, subtle hints of hazelnut and pastry appear.
Finish: Long, structured, and refined. Lingering notes of spiced wood, toasted almond, and wild berries with a slightly tart edge recall the untamed character of the sloes.
