Scorza di mandarino
Gin Scorza is a London Dry Gin produced by the Leonardelli Distillery through discontinuous distillation in a hybrid copper still entirely designed by the master distiller to optimize aromatic extraction.
The alcohol base, obtained from high-quality organic grain, is redistilled together with an essential yet perfectly balanced botanical set, in which organic juniper represents the aromatic backbone. The distinctive element is the use of fresh peels of organic Sicilian Marzaiolo mandarins, which give the distillate an immediately recognizable profile.
The result is a gin with a Mediterranean character: fresh, thirst-quenching and surprisingly well-balanced. Citrus notes dominate both the nose and palate, supported by a balsamic and resinous core contributed by the juniper. Bottled at 40% ABV, it ensures aromatic clarity, precise flavor definition and great versatility. Excellent neat, it expresses its best in a gin & tonic with Indian tonic water or a Mediterranean tonic, which fully enhances its citrus components.

Color: Clear, crystalline.
Nose: An immediate citrus attack dominated by fresh mandarin peels, with vivid zest notes and rich essential oils. Balsamic and resinous juniper notes then emerge, with hints of mountain pine and a light herbal nuance. Delicate white-flower notes linger in the background.
Palate: The entry is smooth and linear. The citrus note dominates elegantly, recalling freshly grated mandarin peel. The juniper structure supports the sip, contributing dry and resinous tones enhanced by a subtle spicy touch.
Finish: Medium-long persistence, characterized by clear returning citrus notes and a delicate balsamic trail. Overall sensation of freshness and aromatic verticality.
