Imagine a gin that carries the wild breath of Islay and the quiet depth of oak casks. The Botanist Cask Rested Gin is born exactly this way: from the meeting of the aromatic complexity of 22 hand-foraged island botanicals and the art of maturation that has long defined Bruichladdich Distillery.
After distillation, the gin rests for at least six months in a variety of casks – around sixteen different types – each imparting its own unique character. The result is a spirit with a velvety texture, where fresh juniper and herbs intertwine with delicate layers of spice, candied citrus, and dried flowers, all wrapped in a soft background of oak and dried fruit.

Color: Light amber.
Nose: Opens with a complex and inviting bouquet of warming spices and candied citrus peel. The sweet scent of juniper merges with a delicate undertone of baking spices and the embracing warmth of oak. Floral and herbal notes, typical of The Botanist, blend beautifully with the subtle dried fruit from the cask.
Palate: The influence of the cask is immediately apparent with vanilla and orange peel, accompanied by cinnamon and cassia spice. This is followed by a wave of sweet, apple pie–like spices with hints of ginger. Juniper then comes forward, layered with herbal notes and a touch of mint.
Finish: Long and deep, with the oak influence gently fading to reveal the heart of The Botanist. Fresh herbal notes, juniper, coriander, and citrus linger gracefully.
