The Six Dogs Karoo Gin is the first spirit created by Six Dogs Distillery and is made in the London Dry style, using the “one-shot” method, where all the botanicals are distilled together in a single process.
The recipe features twelve carefully selected botanicals, half of which come directly from the heart of the Succulent Karoo. Among these, some are grown on the estate, such as lemon buchu, lime, and mandarin, while others, like wild lavender and the thorny blossom of the Karoo acacia, are foraged. These are complemented by more classic, structuring botanicals, including juniper, angelica, cassia, and chamomile, which provide balance and identity to the spirit. The result is a delicate, elegant, and perfectly balanced gin, deeply rooted in the South African terroir.

Colour: Clear, crystalline.
Nose: Opens with a lively and enveloping bouquet, dominated by bright citrus notes of lime, mandarin, and lemon buchu. Juniper provides structure with its resinous and earthy character, while wild lavender enriches the profile with an elegant floral nuance. Subtle herbal and vegetal undertones emerge on the finish.
Palate: Smooth and harmonious, with a vibrant entry led by citrus notes, followed by a warm and enveloping spicy evolution from the more classic botanicals. Juniper elegantly asserts itself as the aromatic core around which all the other essences revolve, while lavender intensifies towards the end, adding a persistent floral close.
Finish: Long, clean, and persistent, with floral echoes and a citrus freshness that invites the next sip.
