The Selvatiq gin line embodies a pioneering concept in the world of spirits: creating premium distillates through a nomadic approach, traveling to the most remote and pristine places in search of unique and precious botanicals, including prized native junipers that give identity and depth to the distillate.
The Mediterranean Gin is a London Dry that captures the wild essence of the La Maddalena Archipelago, between Caprera and the most remote islands of the Mediterranean, where the Mediterranean scrub meets the breath of the sea.
The protagonist of the recipe is red juniper (Juniperus oxycedrus), locally known as ginepro Coccolone, hand-picked just a few meters from the shore and shaped by wind and sea salt. It is accompanied by typical botanicals such as fig leaves, bitter orange, myrtle, thyme, and bay leaf. Harvesting takes place from late May to mid-February, depending on when each botanical reaches its aromatic peak. The result is a distillate with an intense, maritime character, where resinous and woody notes intertwine with fresh citrus and herbal accents, evoking in every sip the untouched charm of Sardinia’s granite coasts.

Color: Clear, crystalline.
Nose: Fresh opening, with resinous and woody notes of red juniper. Herbaceous and balsamic scents of thyme and bay leaf soon emerge, softened by the gentle freshness of fig leaves. A light touch of bitter orange adds vibrancy, while myrtle brings an aromatic and fruity note.
Palate: Elegant and harmonious structure, where the backbone of juniper intertwines with the complexity of the Mediterranean scrub. Balsamic notes blend with aromas of herbs and citrus, accompanied by a subtle vegetal sweetness from fig leaves. Myrtle adds a soft warmth, balancing the herbaceous freshness.
Finish: Bold, with a return of resinous and citrus notes. A clean, vibrant closure that leaves the mouth fresh and slightly balsamic.
