Selvatiq Gin is exploration in a bottle: an innovative project that travels the world in search of the purest botanicals and native junipers to create spirits of the highest quality.
The Desert Gin is a London Dry that captures the strength and untamed beauty of Utah’s desert, a land that hosts some of the planet’s most resilient botanicals.
At the heart of the recipe is Osteosperma juniper (Juniperus osteosperma), hand-harvested by local foragers in September, when its aromatic concentration peaks. The botanicals in this gin do not come from cultivated fields or greenhouses: they grow wild, scattered and often hidden among the rocks, protected by the scorching sun and arid climate. Raised in extreme conditions, the juniper develops an unmistakable resinous and earthy character, blending harmoniously with other wild botanicals of the region: white sage, artemisia, and aromatic sumac. The result is an intense, balsamic, and complex gin, capturing in every drop the authentic, untamed essence of the desert.

Nose: Intense and enveloping opening, dominated by the resinous and earthy notes of *Juniperus osteosperma*. Fresh aromatic nuances of white sage emerge, followed by herbal and slightly bitter undertones. A lively, spicy touch, with peppery and smoky hints from sumac, adds depth and complexity.
Palate: Bold and structured body, with juniper at the forefront and an aromatic texture alternating between balsamic warmth and herbal freshness. White sage blends with woody and herbal tones, while sumac brings citrusy energy with a subtle smokiness. The balance between dryness and aromatic intensity highlights the wild nature of the spirit.
Finish: Persistent, with returning juniper, delicate spices, and a balsamic echo. A light peppery note accompanies a final herbal freshness, leaving a clean and lively sensation.
