Normandy, homeland of Maison Drouin, is the backdrop to the creation of Le Gin Carmina, an expression of the same mastery that has made the house’s Calvados renowned worldwide. Following the success of Le Gin de Christian Drouin, this limited edition – produced in only 8,550 bottles – offers a reinterpretation with a fresh, fruity, and intensely aromatic profile.

The alcohol base is once again obtained from more than 30 varieties of cider apples, to which juniper and six selected botanicals are added. Compared to the classic version, Carmina is enriched with botanicals that give it a fruity and floral summer profile, with the standout ingredients – raspberry, blackcurrant, and elderflower, imparting a bright, summery character. Alongside these, vanilla, lemon, and orange enhance the bouquet with softness, citrus freshness, and spicy nuances.

Each botanical is macerated and distilled separately before being blended, following the artisanal method of the Maison. The packaging echoes the visual identity of Le Gin de Christian Drouin, but adopts an elegant carmine red hue, in homage to the red fruits that define the aromatic profile of this edition. With its expressive fruity and floral character, Le Gin Carmina represents a unique and radiant version of Norman gin, ideal to enjoy neat, in a fresh summer gin & tonic, or even in winter, where it finds new expression in warm punches.
