The Filliers 28 Barrel Aged Gin is based on the original recipe of Filliers Dry Gin 28, which features 28 selected botanicals. After distillation, the gin is aged for about four months in French Limousin oak barrels previously used for maturing Cognac.
This process imparts greater aromatic complexity, enriched with notes of vanilla, sweet spices, and a delicate creaminess. The wood plays a central role in defining the gin’s character, amplifying its nuances without altering its original identity, in which juniper and botanicals remain the main players.

Color: Straw yellow.
Nose: The first impression is woody and earthy, with juniper showing a more resinous quality compared to the classic Filliers. Soon after, essential oils of lime and orange emerge, paving the way for warmer, sweeter tones: vanilla, almonds, and a hint of freshly baked orange cake. The notes evolve toward a deeper, softer profile.
Palate: An initial warmth quickly gives way to a rich combination of juniper, coriander, and cardamom, over a structured base of oak and ripe citrus, particularly orange and lemon. Over time, unexpected fruity tones appear. The palate further develops with impressions of spiced orange cake, accented by vanilla and butter.
Finish: Long and enveloping, with a dry, citrusy close where notes of lemon and orange peel persist, accompanied by an elegant touch of oak and an echo of sweet butter.
