Discover the magic of the unique The Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin in the Dragon Year Edition, a celebratory version of the acclaimed Irish gin, one of the most awarded in the world. Housed in a beautiful blue and gold ceramic bottle, entirely handmade, in homage to the Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese calendar.
Born from the tireless curiosity of PJ Rigney, founder and “alchemist” of The Shed Distillery, this gin is the result of a long journey through Europe and Asia in search of rare and fascinating botanicals. His goal? To create a spirit that would serve as a sensory bridge between East and West, combining Irish craftsmanship with the aromatic richness of the Far East. Slowly distilled in medieval-style copper pot stills, The Gunpowder Gin is made with 12 botanicals, eight of which are distilled and four vapour-infused: lime, lemon, pink grapefruit, and the famous Gunpowder Tea, the most consumed Chinese green tea in the world.
The result is a gin with a fresh and spicy profile, where lively citrus notes intertwine with exotic, oriental nuances. The green tea adds depth and a distinctive character, while the flavour unfolds full, enveloping, and persistent, with an elegance that celebrates the fusion of distant worlds.

Colour: Clear, crystalline.
Nose: Fresh and aromatic, it opens with lively citrus notes, followed by a herbaceous and balsamic heart. The aroma of Gunpowder green tea blends with spicy accents and pronounced juniper, creating an elegant and oriental bouquet.
Palate: Soft yet with a defined character, it shows a perfect balance between citrus freshness, the delicate sweetness of green tea, and a subtle menthol note. Oriental spices emerge in depth, giving structure and complexity without ever weighing it down.
Finish: Long and clean, with a pleasant return of lemon, green pepper, and tea, leaving the palate fresh and persistent, with an elegant hint of bitterness.
