The structure of DOA Horizon develops around an intense and layered spiciness, entrusted to three peppers with distinct identities: Voatsiperifery, Malabar, and Timut, which impart depth, warmth, and long persistence. The citrus component arises from the encounter between kumquat and kaffir lime, further enhanced by its leaves, which add freshness, an herbaceous note, and citrus nuances.
The blue Persian salt introduces a mineral and delicately savory accent, while carob and tonka bean guide the finish towards darker, softer, and more enveloping tones. The result is an intense and well-defined gin in which citrus freshness, spiciness, and aromatic depth find a precise and persistent balance.
It best expresses its personality in an essential Gin & Tonic, in a Dry Martini that enhances its spicy and mineral profile, in a Gimlet capable of highlighting its citrus freshness, or in a Negroni prepared with a not overly sweet vermouth and a bitter with a good herbaceous character.
