Considered one of the very first Italian gins produced in the London Dry style, the Bordiga Gin Occitan is rooted in a recipe from the early 1900s that has remained faithful to its original form. Its absolute protagonist is wild Alpine juniper, among the richest and most aromatic in the world thanks to the unique microclimate that blends mountain and maritime influences. Alongside it, angelica, cardamom, and other carefully selected botanicals – Alpine medicinal herbs still hand-harvested and dried at high altitudes by mountain dwellers – guarantee spontaneous, organic raw materials, free of chemical treatments.
The botanicals are macerated separately in triple-distilled grain spirit and then distilled in traditional wood-fired copper stills. The result is a gin of great finesse, with a clean, persistent profile. Elegant and versatile, Occitan celebrates its deep bond with the Occitan territory, offering an authentic and distinctive character, perfect to enjoy neat or as a base for classic cocktails.
